The delegation of the Provincial Government, headed by the Secretary for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, Vuk Radojević, PhD, paid a working visit to the Republic of Cyprus from 21 to 23 May 2019, during which were held meetings with representatives of the Cypriot Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.

At a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture Mr Kostas Kadis, they discussed ways to improve cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to strengthen cooperation in the scientific and research field due to the increasing use of information technologies in agriculture, and in that sense emphasized the role of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad and the Biosens Institute.

The Secretary Radojević also spoke with the Directors of the Directorate for Forests and Water Management at the Ministry of Agriculture R. Cyprus, as well as with the Director of the Agricultural Insurance Agency and the Cyprus Agrarian Payments Agency.

In addition, the delegation visited the experimental farm for livestock production and the experimental station for plant production of the Agricultural Research Institute, as well as the winemaker of producers whose investments are financed by EU funds.
